World-beating Jason, who was diagnosed ten years ago with motor neurone disease (MND), leaves an incredible legacy, having broken records for the fastest motorised wheelchair, climbed Mount Snowdon and abseiled from the Humber Bridge, all in spite of his condition.
His wife, Elizabeth (Liz), today posted the sad news on Facebook that Jason had died. She said: “Jason Liversidge died peacefully at home surrounded by his girls at 22.59 on the 5th August 2023. Thank you for being the best husband and father that we could ask for.”
Jason is truly inspirational, and raised awareness of motor neurone disease and the fact disability shouldn’t stop people.”
