SIP Build UK shortlisted for Sustainable / Ethical Manufacturer of the Year
We’re proud to announce that SIP Build UK has been named a finalist at the Made in Yorkshire Awards 2026, in the category Sustainable / Ethical Manufacturer of the Year.
This recognition reflects how sustainability, ethical manufacturing and real-world building performance are embedded into everything we do — from early design support through to factory manufacture and on-site installation.
Sustainability that’s designed in — not added later
As a Yorkshire-based manufacturer of structural insulated panel (SIP) systems, we focus on fabric-first performance, offsite precision and responsible material choices. Our panels are manufactured in a controlled factory environment, reducing site waste, improving build accuracy and shortening construction programmes.
We work with FSC® and PEFC™-certified timber, BBA-approved SIP systems and a PUR core with zero Ozone Depletion Potential. The result is a lower-carbon building envelope that delivers measurable energy performance long after handover.
Ethical manufacturing, backed by independent assurance
SIP Build UK operates under an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and holds STA Assure Gold accreditation. Independent certification gives our clients confidence that sustainability claims are supported by verified performance, durability and compliance.
Ethical practice also extends to our people and supply chain. With 91% of our workforce living within Yorkshire and a strong preference for UK-based suppliers, we actively support local skills, employment and long-term industry resilience.
Proven results on live projects
Our finalist entry is underpinned by real project data, including:
Derbyshire Longhouse
Stable internal temperatures of 22–23°C during sub-zero conditions with no active heating. Derbyshire Longhouse project
Stotfold Crest Stables
Zero heating bills and surplus renewable energy generation. Stotfold Crest stables
Beamish Passive House
Certified Passivhaus performance with EPC A (98–100).
These outcomes demonstrate that sustainable construction isn’t theoretical — it’s repeatable, measurable and commercially viable.
Being shortlisted for a Made in Yorkshire Award is a meaningful milestone for our team. It recognises the role that responsible offsite manufacturing can play in delivering better-performing buildings, while supporting regional skills and UK supply chains.
Thank you to our clients, design partners and project teams who continue to trust SIP Build UK to deliver buildings that perform — ethically, sustainably and reliably.
