New Manufacturing Base for Thriving SIP Build UK | Construction industry contractor SIPBuild UK has invested a six-figure sum in the development of a manufacturing plant in Normanton following a record year.
The structural insulated panel contractor said the job-creating investment was in response to growing demand from the public and private sector.
An 11,500 sq ft facility has been opened on Normanton Industrial Estate where SIPBuild will assemble buildings made from structural insulated panels (SIPs).
The move will result in a number of new roles and apprenticeships being created.
Chris Duckworth, managing director of SIPBuild UK, said demand for off-site manufactured systems had “completely transformed the construction landscape”.
“The investment we’re making in our newest manufacturing plant and the creation of a number of new roles underpins our ambitions for further growth.”
