Locks Ride Pavilion – SIPs Project

Locks Ride Pavilion – Winkfield Berkshire

The new Pavilion at Locks Ride Recreation Ground is an eagerly anticipated project, especially considering the closure of the previous pavilion in 2019.

The new sports pavilion will offer a range of amenities, including two changing rooms, two officials’ rooms, WCs/DDA WCs, a small kitchenette, a community room, communal space, and plant and storage facilities.

Despite some weather-related delays earlier this year, we’re happy to report that the groundwork and water drainage systems have been successfully completed. Concrete slabs have been installed to support the building’s flooring, and with the foundations and substructure in place, we can now proceed with the installation of the walls and roof.

The use of 175mm structural insulated panels (SIPs) installed by SBUK will facilitate a faster build, ensuring both speed and quality in the construction process.

Despite the challenges, the project is now back on schedule and progressing visibly. We greatly look forward to seeing the Winkfield Parish Council and the community benefit from this valuable and modern facility in the near future.

It will undoubtedly enhance the experience for the resident football and cricket teams, as well as for the entire Locks Ride Recreation Ground community.
